Enderby Parish Council is currently advertising vacancies for three Councillors.
A parish councillor is someone the community looks to for help and support and someone who will represent their views as decisions affecting the community are made.
They have responsibility for running local services such as local open spaces, play areas, village halls and maintenance of parish assets as well as work generally to improve the quality of life and the environment in the local area.
Parish Councillors influence and help shape the long term development policy for the parish and comment on planning applications as part of the planning process.
The Parish Council is the first tier of local government closest to the community in Enderby with the district authority (Blaby District Council) and the county authority (Leicestershire County Council) above it in local government hierarchy.
Anyone interested in becoming an Enderby Parish Councillor should contact Ms. Suzanne Hansford, Clerk to Enderby Parish Council, Civic Centre, King Street, Enderby, LE19 4NT.
