People running small and medium sized businesses can get top tips on winning public sector contracts at Blaby District Council on February 16.

The free workshop is being held at the Council’s main offices on Desford Road, Narborough, from 4.30pm – 6.30pm and will help business owners identify contract opportunities, understand and prepare more effective tenders and get ‘bid ready’.

Experts will be giving advice on bidding for contracts at the event which will also include a question and answer session along with information about future tender opportunities.

The Inspire LeicesterShire 2012 Games Legacy Team will also be attending to talk about the latest contracts coming from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and how local businesses can bid for them to create a lasting economic legacy for the county.

Registration starts at 4pm and refreshments will be provided on arrival.

Although the event is free advance booking is essential.

A free and confidential one-to-one consultation with an expert advisor is also available.
