Police have arrested two men after a woman was killed in a road traffic accident on Desford Road in Enderby.
The woman was a passenger in a car involved in a collision with a motorcycle shortly before midday on Sunday 14th May.
In a statement published on their website, Leicestershire Police said:
“Detectives are investigating the death of a woman who was found following a collision in Enderby, Leicestershire.
“Officers were called at 11.46am today (14th May) to a road traffic collision in Desford Road, Enderby, involving a car and a motorbike.
“A rear passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are currently working to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding her death.”
The Leicester Mercury reports that the motorbike rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to Nottingham’s Queens’s Medical centre.
The newspaper goes on to say his pillion passenger sustained minor injuries and she is being treated at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Leicestershire Police said two men aged 27 and 28 have been arrested in connection with her death and remain in police custody.
