Weather defeats Enderby Fete

Enderby Events Group have made the decision to cancel this year’s Enderby Village Fete.

Following several recent inspections of the King George V Playing Field, the Enderby Events Group concluded that the saturated ground meant it was unsafe to be traversed by vehicles and neither would it be conducive to providing a pleasant experience for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The Events Group deferred the decision as late as possible in the hope that this year’s event might be saved, but like other similar outdoor events, the organisers have been defeated by the unprecedented level of rainfall over the past two months.

The Events Group have contacted stallholders and exhibitors informing them of the decision and thanking them for their support.

There will be a number of fundraising events and activities during the remainder of 2012 and the Events Group are hoping for better weather and a successful fete in 2013.
