Last Saturday (18th September) a large number of visitors turned up to enjoy and view a collection of interesting vehicles on display on the King George V Playing Field, Mill Lane, Enderby.
The “Vehicles on the Park” event was held between 1pm and 4pm and a sunny spell helped to draw families and individuals. Food and drink was on hand and some took the opportunity to picnic on the park.
Exhibits included 44 cars, a tractor, 9 motorcycles and (no doubt representing the green travel movement) a couple of cycles.
Enderby folk reacted and took to social media to remark on the event, the first of its type in Enderby and a bit of an experiment for the Parish Council’s Events working party.
Lynne Cooper writing on All Things Enderby Community Facebook Page said: “Some great vehicles down the park earlier on, I’m sure many more turned up,! well done to everyone who organised this great event….”
Penny Immins posting on The Pastures Facebook Page wrote: “Brilliant, I hope this comes back every year”
Check back! Some photos from the day will appear here as they become available:
