Vandals attack play equipment on Mill Lane Recreation Ground

Posted on February 14, 2018 by staff

Thoughtless vandalism is  believed to be responsible for damage having been caused to play equipment situated on the King George V playing field, Mill Lane, Enderby.

At some point in early February damage was caused to the ‘Saxon Fortress’ climbing frame at Mill Lane Recreational Ground.

Members of Enderby Parish Council visited the site on February 9th and the view was taken that the damage was not due to general wear and tear (the wood was not rotten) and therefore the damage was believed to be vandalism and a criminal incident report was made to the Police.

Damage had been caused to one of the structural uprights of the Saxon Fortress.

Parish Council ground staff made the equipment safe until permanent repairs are undertaken.
