Two people die after collision on the B4114 in Croft

Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary’s serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Croft.

The incident took place at 6.36am on Saturday (October 22) on the B4114, Coventry Road, Croft and involved one vehicle, a black Honda Civic.

The two rear seat passengers in the vehicle, Mr Samuel Turner (18) and Mr Matthew Ian Brown (23) both of Stony Stanton received fatal injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was seriously injured and is still undergoing treatment at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, where his condition has been described as stable.

The front seat passenger was released from the Leicester Royal Infirmary after treatment.

Detective Constable Seamus Burns is investigating the collision, he said:  “The vehicle was travelling along Coventry Road towards Sharnford when the collision occurred.

“We would appeal to anyone who was travelling along this road around the time of the collision who may have witnessed it or saw the vehicle being driven beforehand to contact us.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC 1504 Seamus Burns on Leicester             (0116) 222 2222      , follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number 1504.  Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on            0800 555 111      .
