Tuesday’s overnight downpour causes ‘morning after’ headache on Leicester Lane

Severe weather caused flooding in a number of locations around the County.

A spokesperson for Leicester Area Traffic Control (ATC) told Leicester Mercury:

“There have been lot’s of flash floods affecting roads across the city, county and Rutland this morning.”

The Environment Agency advise that just 30cm of flowing water is enough to move your car. Never drive through flood water.
