Topps go national with ‘weather’ sponsorship

Enderby based tile and flooring chain Topps Tiles has launched a national television advertising campaign with sponsorship of ITV’s morning show Daybreak’s national weather forecast slots.

For almost a year Topps Tiles has sponsored the programme’s regional weather.

The 10-second adverts feature the daily activities of a family in their semi-detached house and show various styles of tile and wood flooring from Topps Tiles’ product range.

Each advert features the ‘Middleton family’ either selecting new home interiors from the Topps range, or just participating in day to day activities. The spots were filmed over a total of five days.

The idents are 10 seconds long and are repeated five times a day, Monday to Friday from 6.30 – 8.30am.

As well as professional actors – and a professional acting dog – the adverts also feature one of Topps’ store managers, Caroline, who works in the Orpington branch.

Recently, the company revealed like-for-like revenue, which only includes stores open for at least a year, increased by 1.6 per cent in the final three months of 2012, compared to the same period of 2011.
