Posted on September 5, 2015September 5, 2015 by staff

Tennis ball graphicFree tennis sessions for girls aged over 16 are being made available during September and October.

As part of the national This Girl Can campaign, Blaby District Council is offering the chance to play tennis at the neighbouring village of Stoney Stanton.

The sessions will take place at the Stoney Stanton Tennis Club (War Memorial Playing Fields, LE9 4TD) every Wednesday from 7-8pm, starting on 9th September.

“This Girl Can” is a national campaign developed by Sport England and a wide range of partnership organisations. It’s a celebration of active women up and down the country who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it!

Equipment will be provided at all free sessions, which will run through to 14 October.

The sessions are an opportunity to participate in a fun and inclusive environment whilst developing tennis skills and increasing fitness levels.

The sessions will be tailored to meet the needs of participants with a variety of fun games and activities.

For more information contact Peter Law, Head Coach at Stoney Stanton Tennis club, at taketheadvantage@live.com.
