Blaby district residents can put pen to paper in a new creative writing class exclusively for adults.

The Write Stuff will be led by experienced creative writing tutor Polly Tuckett, taking place at Braunstone Town Library on a weekly basis.

Polly is a local writer with work published in various journals. She directs Short Fuse, a spoken word event dedicated to the short story form.

The classes are flexible and will allow for personal interest to be developed, with the aim to improve health and wellbeing through art activity.

Sam Clarke, Health Improvement Officer at Blaby District Council, said:

“Creative writing is an excellent medium to express feelings, release tension and can be a relaxing form of therapy that can also unleash hidden talent. I hope people will give it a go, no experience is necessary and all abilities are welcome.”

Classes are taking place every Thursday at 2pm – 3.30pm.

Each session costs £1 and all resources are provided.
