Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to Introduction of a temporary 40mph speed restriction on Beggars Lane, Lubbesthorpe and Leicester Forest East.
The 40 mph speed limit is to be enforced to allow for the increase in construction traffic during the building of the new bridge over the M1.
The restriction will commence on the 1st June 2015, and may last for up to 18 months.
Temporary closure of footpaths
To allow for the construction of the the new bridge, footpaths W4 and W3a are also subject to a temporary closure order.
Footpath W3A will be closed from the 1st June 2015 for 6 months and footpath W4 will be closed for up to 1 week on a date yet to be announced.
The alternative route for all those affected will be signed on site.
