Temporary road closures around Enderby

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders at locations around Enderby, including road closures.

There will be closure of The Cross, Enderby from its junction with Broad Street to its junction with High Street. The road will be closed from the 16th January 2017 for a period of up to 4 weeks.

At the same location and time there will also be a temporary ‘No Waiting’ restriction in force.

A temporary ‘No Waiting’ restriction will be in force on The Cross, Enderby from its junction with Townsend Road to its junction with Broad Street from the 9th January 2017 for a period of up to 5 weeks.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being implemented to safely allow footway surfacing works to be undertaken by Leicestershire Highways.

The alternative diversion route for the above temporary road closure of The Cross is via:- Co-operation Street, Hall Walk, Conery Lane, Chapel Street.


Abbey Road
Closure is also required on Abbey Road, Enderby, from the 10th January
2017 for a period of one day.
It is expected that the closure will be in place from 9:30am 12:30am.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is to safely allow Severn Trent to replace a manhole.
During the closure, the alternative diversion route will be via:- Abbey Road,
Warren Road and vice versa.
