A Place To GrowA Place to Grow, Blaby District Council’s community garden project, is hosting a family open day on Saturday 27 June, from 11am-2pm.

Taking place at Mill Lane, Enderby, LE19 4LX (next to Enderby Leisure Centre), the open day will host many stalls including a plant and produce stall, free health checks and a Tai Chi taster session.

Councillor Sheila Scott, portfolio holder for Health Improvement and Leisure Services, said:

“This open day means everyone in attendance will get to see the brilliant work that is done and hopefully attract more people to the garden.”

Supporting positive health and wellbeing, ‘A Place to Grow’ is a free-to-use sustainable community garden.

The project encourages people to learn new skills by producing and eating healthy food, being physically active, getting involved in the community and meeting new people in a friendly, informal and safe environment.

The site is aimed at anyone with mental and physical health related problem who wants to improve their health and wellbeing.
