A news item posted on the club’s website by Andy Moore says that
the club were formally accredited towards the back end of the season and the hope is that this industry standard will see vast improvements for the club both on and off the field.
The post goes on to say:
Much work has been put into getting Clubmark status and we need to thank Geoff Conway in particular who was instrumental in achieving this standard.
We must also thank club welfare officer Laura Moore, Alan Johnson, Andy Moore and Chairwomen Sylvia Conway in particular who spent time sorting various paperwork items and other info. that were crucial.
Now it is up to the club to put extra effort in and for us all to get our hands dirty and rolling up our sleeves to get the club further up the Leicestershire cricket ladder.
Improvements to the ground will be at the forefront of plans but we must also continue to improve our kids teams through the excellent work of Ryan Lane and Mick Postlethwaite with the juniors.
If anyone is looking to get involved then please contact a member of the committee and we can allocate you a job. We need you more than ever now!
