‘Burger Sponsor’ required for Bank Holiday extravaganza!

kate_harrington
Kate Harrington looking for a ‘burger’ sponsor!

Still passionate about fund raising, Enderby resident Kate Harrington is appealing for help with mounting a May Bank Holiday fund-raising event at Enderby Social Club.

Kate has recently returned from a charity trip to the Arctic where she not only celebrated her 50th Birthday, but also faced fears of the cold and dogs! She is organising a charity fund-raising event this coming May Bank Holiday (23rd-25th May), at Enderby Social Club – when there will be a football tournament and a Pram Race, as well as many events for children, …..bouncy castle, supervised activities, etc. A real traditional family day out.

Kate and her helpers have been fortunate to secure raffle prizes from many top names including Sytners (BMW driving experience) Next, M&S and Asda as well as the complete support of the whole Enderby village businesses and shops.

Everard’s Brewary are sponsoring them with a keg of beer, Pukka Pies with 70 pies and bakers ‘Warburtons’ are sponsoring them with 200 burger rolls. All they need now is 200 Burgers to go in them!

So a plea is going out to anyone who may be able to sponsor some fillings (burgers/sausages etc.)

Get involved…

Entries are also being taken for anyone wanting to take part in the pram race, football tournament, tug of war, darts and skittles matches.

Kate tells the ‘EYE’ that there is still opportunity for people to have stalls at no charge, and the Allotment committee will be selling plants. All in all, a splendid family day out.

Anyone interested in having a stall or who needs further information …(even sponsoring some burgers!) then contact can be made via Kate on mobile number 07843 180394, or club stewardess Caroline Clark, mobile number 0777 2737368
