Two fundraising events in Enderby raised more than £400 for Comic Relief with 180 people taking part in physical activity for charity.

Active Together Blaby organised a marathon three hour zumbathon at Enderby Leisure Centre on Friday March 18.

The zumbathon was followed by a short Smiles 4 Miles fun run at Brockington College on Sunday March 20 supported by Sainsbury’s at Fosse Park, Leicester.

Darren Farish, physical activity development officer at Blaby District Council said:

“The weekend was great fun and to see people supporting local events, doing their bit for charity and enjoying physical activity all at the same time was fantastic.”

Active Together

Active Together is a project funded by the County Sport Partnership (Leicestershire & Rutland Sport) and Leicestershire County Council.
