Police issue photo of stolen bike

The theft happened at around 2.20pm on Friday October 26, 2012 in a car park at the back of a business premises on Penman Way, Grove Park, Enderby.

The victim had left her bike locked and secure when a man was seen to use a tool to remove the chain and steal the bike leaving his own bike behind.

The bike is a blue and white ladies GT Avalanche mountain bike.

The victim has offered a reward for the return of the bike or information leading to its return.

PC Julie Watkins, who is investigating the theft, said:

“The victim has been left extremely upset at the loss of her bike and has even offered a reward for its return.

“The bike is very unique with only a small number of them being sold in Leicester which we hope will assist us in tracing its current whereabouts.

“We are appealing for anyone with information about the theft or the current whereabouts of the stolen bike to come forward. Please don’t hesitate to call us with any information you have.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 4282 Julie Watkins on 101*, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer’s identification number 4282. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free** and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
