Police arrests following burglary of commercial premises

police carThree teenagers have been charged with burgling commercial premises in Coventry Road, Croft.

They are alleged to have stolen keys and a fire extinguisher on May 26.

A 17-year-old and a 14-year-old are also jointly charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent on the same day. The 16-year-old has been charged with allowing himself to be carried in a vehicle that had been taken without the owner’s consent.

All three have further been charged with theft of £600-worth of diesel from a motor vehicle at the same premises on Sunday (June 2).

They are all due to appear at Leicester Youth Court on June 19.

Meanwhile a 22-year-old man has been charged with burgling business premises in The Exchange, Eyres Monsell Estate.

The offence is alleged to have taken place on March 23, and it is alleged £300 in cash was stolen.

The accused is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on July 3
