Police appeal following Boxing Day assault at Bees Knees pub

bees knees thorpe astleyFour people were assaulted during an incident at a pub in Meridian Way, Braunstone.

The incident happened at Bees Knees on Boxing Day between 7.45pm and 8pm when a woman was involved in a verbal altercation with the suspects in the porch area of the pub.

She was then assaulted by the suspects. Moments later three people she was with were also assaulted in the incident.

Three of the victims required hospital treatment for minor injuries.

Two women, aged 48 and 28, and a 23-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries

PC 4397 Vicki Hudson, who is investigating the incident said:

“This incident happened on Boxing Day evening when I believe there would have been plenty of people around who witnessed it.

“If you were there with friends and family please have a think back and see if there is anything you can remember which may help with our enquiries.

“If you were with people from out of town, I would ask you to get in touch with them and ask if they saw anything. Even the smallest details could help.”
