On line web chat with Blaby Police and Trading Standards

Posted on June 29, 2011November 27, 2011 by staff

For the first time, the police in Blaby are holding a joint webchat with Trading Standards on Thursday June 30.

The panel members will be Inspector Jon Brown, Sergeant Rachael Payne and Colin Hoskins from Trading Standards. They will be available to take questions on line between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

Sergeant Payne said; “Rogue traders charge extortionate rates for shoddy or unnecessary work. Doorstep callers will lie to get into an individual’s home, with the intention of stealing cash or valuables.”

Leicestershire Constabulary has teamed up with Leicestershire County Council’s Trading Standards Service who can give you advice on how to deal with these callers by logging on to www.leics.police.uk/blabywebchat

Blaby consultation events will be held regularly online on the last Thursday of every month. For details of other upcoming and past online chats please visitwww.leics.police.uk/rpuwebchat and www.leics.police.uk/blabywebchat
