NEXT workers have reason to be cheerful

Posted on September 1, 2014September 2, 2014 by staff

next allinoneHundreds of staff at the Enderby based fashion giant NEXT are feeling good lately, as together with staff in some Next stores they hold shares in the company’s fortunes.

It was recently reported that NEXT made a bigger profit than arch-rival Marks & Spencer for the first time last year.

The company saw its shares briefly hit £70 earlier, trading at £70.55 at close, valuing the 32-year-old company at a cool £10.82 billion.

While Primark was number one fashion brand by volume, the Lutterworth-based ASDA’s ‘George’ clothing label overtook M&S to become the second largest fashion brand by volume in the 24 weeks to July 6, according to Retail Week magazine.
