Blaby bus takes benefits surgery on the road

People in Braunstone can get housing and benefits advice on board the Blaby Youth Bus at Franklin Park on Monday July 26.
Staff from Blaby District Council’s housing options, resident support, decent homes and benefits teams will be on the purple bus from 1.30-4.30pm to give information on services they offer.
Councillor Karl Coles, health and community services portfolio holder at the Council said:
"Although our benefits caseload is rising we know there are still people who are not claiming what they are entitled to so we need to reach them and help maximise household incomes during these difficult times.
"Anyone who is having problems paying their rent, mortgage, or who thinks they might be entitled to benefits should pop along for a chat with one of our advisers to see if we can help."
Franklin Park is off Welcombe Avenue in Braunstone Town.
