Budding writers or absolute beginners can practise their skills at a series of creative workshops at Countesthorpe Library.
Playing with Words, led by community poet Mark Goodwin, aims to help people explore their imagination through written and spoken wordplay.
People taking part will get the chance to perform their work at the final session where Councillor Ernie White, leader of Blaby District Council, will also be giving a talk on his favourite novelist, John Steinbeck.
The workshops, which run from 6.30-8.30pm on Wednesday July 7 and 14 are free to attend and are part of Blaby Arts Festival 2010.
