Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary's Serious Collision Investigation Unit have named the man who died in a road traffic collision in Blaby yesterday morning.
The collision happened at about 6.15am on Tuesday June 8, on the A426 Blaby Bypass, just past the roundabout with Enderby Road.
43-year-old James Clewes of Northampton, the driver of the car, received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car, a green TVR Chimaera, was travelling in the southbound carriageway when it came into collision with a tree at the side of the road.
Detective Constable Patricia Draycott, the officer investigating the incident, said:
"The car was travelling towards Lutterworth when the collision happened and we are appealing for anyone with information to call us.
“We are also interested in speaking to anyone who saw the car before the collision.”
