Reviewing the Christmas waste collections

People living in Blaby district are being asked for their views on the refuse and recycling arrangements over Christmas and New Year.
Since 1991 the scheduled collection days have rotated after New Year. But over the last festive period the Council trialled a new system leaving a two week gap between refuse collections and not rotating the collection days, with the aim of avoiding confusion and reducing costs.
The Council is now asking for feedback on these changes so a decision can be made on whether to stick with the new system or go back to rotating the collection days after New Year.
Residents can visit the Council website (see link below) in order to give their views by 30th July 2010.
