Police appeal for missing person

Police are concerned for the welfare of a 62-year-old man who has not been seen since 8am on Friday, May 28.

Garth Donojgrodzci (left) was last seen at his home in Woodhouse Eaves, near Loughborough.

His vehicle – a black Fiat 500, registration BF08 EXK – is also missing.

He is described as white, 5’8” tall, medium build, with short grey hair and a beard.

He was believed to be wearing a khaki coloured coat, black jeans and Berghouse walking boots.

Body found in Staffordshire believed to be missing Leicestershire man

Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary are liaising with Staffordshire Police following the discovery of a body in a river in Staffordshire.

Enquiries are being conducted to establish if the body is that of missing man Garth Donajgrodzki, who was reported missing from Woodhouse Eaves on Friday May 28.

Formal identification of the deceased has not yet been completed and we are working with the authorities in Staffordshire to do this.

Officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
