Community Grants are available for groups in Enderby and elsewhere in the district who are in need of some funding to expand or develop their activities
Voluntary or 'not for profit' community groups in Blaby District may be eligible to apply for a Blaby District Council (BDC) community grant.
The final application deadline for 2009/10 is fast approaching.
Community Action Blaby District administers the grants programme on behalf of the council and three different schemes are available, with funding available for up to £200, £500 and £5,000.
The grant programme aims to support a wide range of community groups.
Last quarter, 20 groups shared over £33,000 in funding.
Grants were given for projects including:
....and many more.
Priority is given to schemes that develop new activities within the community, and groups that have not received a grant within the last three years.
Applications for BDC grants are accepted quarterly and the next deadline is 26 February 2010.
For more information, or to request an application packet, interested parties can contact the Community Support Organiser at Community Action on Tel. 0116 2727669 or email community@cabd.org.uk.
