Forum Meets Again

03 May 2008

The next meeting of the Blaby District Older People's Forum will take place on Monday 12th May.

The meeting starts at 2.00pm and is being held in the Blaby District Council Chamber at the Council's offices in Narborough.

All local people aged 55 and over, together with those involved with their care and welfare are welcome to attend.

Councillor Jill Blackwell, Blaby District Council, Older Persons' Champion said:

"I was extremely pleased to see so much interest and enthusiasm at the first meeting of the Forum back in February.

"This is an exciting project which has the potential to benefit older people right across the District of Blaby.

"I am hoping that even more people will come along to this meeting.

"Everyone will be most welcome."

The Older People's Forum will meet quarterly.

It has been set up to help the Council gain a better understanding of the needs and aspirations of older people and to give older people the opportunity to have their say and to help shape the future development of services.
