Enderby EYE can reveal that at bit of Egypt will descend on the area this summer.
Blaby town centre is due to be transformed with palm trees, sandpits, pharoahs and pyramids when "Egyptian Leicestershire" pays a visit.
The event, which will take place on the 12th July is being planned by Blaby District Council and co-ordinated by Leicestershire County Council's Market Towns Programme.
"Egyptian Leicestershire" is an exciting local attraction with a host of fun activities on offer for families and young children.
Many Enderby residents enjoyed the 2006 project, 'Jurrasic Leicestershire', when the St.John precinct in Blaby was taken over by dinosaur themed attractions as part of the Blaby Arts Festival of that year (see link below).
More details of "Egyptian Leicestershire" will appear in the EYE and other local media nearer to the date.
Anyone requiring more detail sooner can contact Carol Troake, Economic Development and Information Officer on tel: 0116 272 7735
