The latest news from Branchline, the quarterly wildlife and heritage newsletter, is now available free from Leicestershire County Council.

The current edition includes ideas on local projects for exploring and recording the countryside as spring arrives, as well as project updates from volunteers around the county.

The Spring edition also includes ideas for sending in wildlife records for local online galleries, details of resources on the web and details of free wildlife recording packs.

There are also details of free training sessions and events and projects that local people can help with - ensuring everyone gets the chance to spring into action as the seasons change.

Branchline is produced by Leicestershire County Council's Community Heritage Initiative.

The initiative, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Rutland County Council, helps people to record and celebrate natural heritage.
