On Saturday 22nd September, David French - an ambassador from Rainbows Children's Hospice, attended at The Nags Head, Cross Street, Enderby, for an evening disco celebration during which he was presented with a £4,000 cheque.
The cheque was presented to him by Helen Wiltshire, on behalf of all the generous customers who have donated to the charity over the last 12 months.
The money had been raised by various on-going events including dart and pool competitions, various raffles, collection boxes and of course the annual Fun Day.
Charity events in aid of the Rainbows Children's Hospice are a regular feature of community life in Enderby and during the last decade, the Nag's Head Public House in Cross Street has held its annual Family Fun Day in aid of the Hospice.
Over £18,000.00 has been raised during the last 10 years for this worthy cause and the pub is recognised by Rainbows as an 'Honorary Friend'.
Once again, thanks go to all the kind people who have donated and organisers are looking forward to many more events in the coming years.
