30 June 2006
Three lucky students from year nine at Brockington College in Enderby stepped up to receive their prizes at a special assembly earlier in the week. Representing the Parish Plan Group were Cllr. Mrs T. Green and Victoria Bowers, Community Development Office of the Rural Community Council (Leicestershire and Rutland).
Year nine students Alice Copson, Beth Adamson and Jenny Cross won first, second and third prize respectively in a competition to design a logo to be used in connection with the Enderby Parish Plan. The students were each asked to design a logo that would represent the people and character of Enderby.
The Parish Plan Steering Committee approached college tutor, Francis Dickinson. who organised year nine students to produce a wide selection of excellent designs. The winning logo, is to be used on all correspondence produced by the Enderby Parish Plan Group.
Presenting the winners with their prizes of Borders' Book Tokens, Steering Group member Mrs T Green complimented all the pupils who had taken part and underlined how difficult the decision had been. She complimented everyone on the professional way they had approached the challenge.
