New Lubbesthorpe Progress Update – August 2011

New LubbesthorpeThe first phase of public consultation on the New Lubbesthorpe planning application ended on 3 June 2011.

Some 1,500 responses have been submitted and comments are currently being analysed by planning officers.

All responses are available to view on the Blaby District Council website using this link.

Whilst the formal period of consultation has ended, people who still wish to comment on the planning application can do so by email – or in writing to the Lubbesthorpe Development Team at Blaby District Council.

The first round of consultation addressed the scheme and supporting evidence as initially submitted in February.

A number of issues have been identified where additional information is required. It is anticipated that this additional information will be provided by the applicant and scrutinised by planning officers and other technical experts. It is possible that this may result in some changes to the masterplan.

It is anticipated that a second round of public consultation will take place (for a further 6 week period) in late autumn 2011 to allow residents and other interested parties to examine any changes to the proposals and scrutinise any additional information submitted. Further representations can be made at this time.

Whilst it is not possible to confirm the date that the application will be determined, it is considered that this maybe towards the end of 2011. This is dependent on the Council having all the information needed in order to make an informed decision.
