Posted on February 27, 2015February 27, 2015 by staff

huncote gym flyerThe brand new gym at the Pavilion Leisure Centre, in Huncote, will be opening its doors to the public this month.

Formerly office space, the fully air conditioned, 37 station gym will offer the latest cardio equipment with interactive technology, weights, free WIFI and Sky Sports, plus a dedicated free weights area.

There will also be a soft play area for children within the new Costa Coffee shop, and an outdoor balcony with views of the countryside.

The new facilities add to the squash courts, sports hall, function room, and 3G artificial turf football pitch, which are already there.

The launch weekend is taking place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March, where residents are invited to come along and see the new facilities on offer.

There will be free taster sessions, health checks, GP referrals, refreshments, face painting, and various competitions including the chance to win a free membership.

Clare Smith, commercial manager at the Pavilion Leisure Centre, said:

“It is a massive improvement for us and a project we are really excited about. It will create an area for the community to come and use.

“It is not the old building it used to be, and we are really lucky to have such a lovely facility. There’s a real buzz about the developments and I hope residents will come and see what all the fuss is about.”
