The introduction of revised prices at five car parks in the district will come into place on Monday 4th September.
Four car parks in Blaby and one in Narborough will see an increase in parking charges.
From next week, Johns Court, Enderby Road and Weavers Court will all cost 30p for up to two hours. Wigston Road in Blaby will cost £1.50 to park all day. Residents permits will still be available in all four car parks.
Monday’s changes will also see Narborough Station cost £5 to park for the day, with season tickets priced at £450.
The Council currently manages 22 car parks in the district, a service which currently runs at a deficit of £82,300 (2015/16.)
In addition to the new pricing, eight car parks are planned to transfer over to Parish Councils to help fill the gap.
All ticket machines will be updated and car park signs amended to reflect the new pricing.
