Motorists involved in Soar Valley Way altercation

police carOfficers from Blaby local policing unit are appealing for witnesses after a motorist was involved in an altercation in Soar Valley Way, Leicester.

The incident took place at about 11.25am on Sunday November 24 near to Everards Brewery, the victim was travelling towards Lutterworth Road when he was approached by the passenger in another vehicle and assaulted.

The victim, a 60-year-old man, sustained minor injuries to his face and arm during the incident.

Sergeant Pete Jelbert said:

“The victim had just driven into Soar Valley Way and swapped lanes when the vehicle the suspect was a passenger in pulled up alongside his, the suspect got out of the vehicle, approached the victim and grabbed his arm.

“There may have been a number of motorists travelling along that road on Sunday morning and we would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the police. Any calls received will be treated in confidence.”
