Motorcyclist injured in a collision on Desford Road, Enderby

Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary’s serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Enderby.

The collision occurred just before 3pm on Sunday July 24 in Desford Road and involved a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Vauxhall Combo van.

The motorcycle rider received serious injuries and was initially taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary but later transferred to Glenfield Hospital where his condition has been described as stable.

The driver of the van was not injured.

Detective Constable Seamus Burns is investigating the incident, he said:

“The collision took place close to the Desford crossroads in the middle of the afternoon and I would urge anyone who was travelling in the area and witnessed the collision to contact us.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle beforehand, any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help with our investigations.”
