A day of family fun and games is taking place at Fosse Meadows, near Sharnford, on Wednesday July 31 to mark Love Parks Week.
Organised by the District Council’s Health and Leisure Services, the day will include bug hunts, dancing and skipping workshops, face painting, Xplorer treasure hunts, early years activities and a variety of sports to have a go at.
Councillor David Clements, portfolio holder for Corporate Services, Performance and Leisure at Blaby District Council, said:
“Love Parks Week has the simple aim of encouraging people to visit, enjoy and take pride in their local parks and green spaces. I hope to see lots of people making the most of this event now the sun is out.”
Love Parks Day runs from 10.30am – 3pm and entry to the event is free. Light refreshments will be available to purchase or you can bring your own picnic.
