Hundreds of jobs will be up for grabs at a bumper spring Job Fair held by Blaby District Council at Everards Meadows on Wednesday 15 June.
Businesses will be showcasing their vacancies and jobseekers of all ages will be able to speak to company representatives, find out more information and get expert help at the event, taking place from 12:00-6:00 pm.
The event is also an ideal opportunity for school and college leavers to come along and find out about trainee positions as well as apprenticeships.
Companies in attendance include Central England Coop, who have more than 60 vacancies across the Leicestershire area, ranging from Customer Service to Team Leader. There are also opportunities within the logistics, warehouses, and funeral areas of their company.
Everards, who are looking for team members, a line chef and a kitchen assistant as well as apprenticeship opportunities.
Blaby-based leading dancewear company Freed of London have several trainee and experienced manufacturing vacancies and Hunny Nursery also have jobs and apprenticeships available.
Caring jobs are up for grabs with Shared Lives Services and Inspired to Care, and supply chain specialists Blekmann Ltd also have a number of roles in their warehouse. Leicester College can also advise on training and apprenticeship opportunities.
Arriva Midlands also have 35 jobs across Leicestershire.
Everards are kindly hosting this second event at their Everards Meadows site on Cooper Way, LE19 2AN, which is set to be twice the size of the last Job Fair in March. The Meadows have excellent foot and cycle paths as well as up to three hours free parking.
Employment support is also a big part of the Jobs Fair, with Work and Skills Leicestershire offering advice and support, including CV writing and interview skills, Work Live Leicestershire, which helps residents living in rural areas access employment, training and education
The Department of Work and Pensions will also be attending the Job Fair. Anyone currently with a work coach can get more details from their point of contact.
