Police are investigating three unusual incidents in which local cyclists have been pushed from their bikes.
The first incident happened at around 4.10pm on Monday July 1 on Dunton Road in Broughton Astley.
What has been described as a old style silver BMW went past the cyclist and the front seat passenger leaned out and pushed him from his bike.
The cyclist was treated at the scene by ambulance for minor injuries.
The second incident happened at around 3.30pm on Thursday July 4, 2013 on Thurlaston Lane in Earl Shilton.
What has been described as an old silver vehicle went past the cyclist and the front seat passenger leaned out and pushed him from his bike. The cyclist received minor injuries.
The third incident happened at around 2.15pm on Saturday July 6 on Stanton Lane in Croft.
What has been described as old style silver BMW crossed in front of the cyclist and braked sharply causing the cyclist to fall from his bike.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken collar bone.
Officers believe these incidents could be linked due to the unusual nature of the offences and the similar description of the vehicle involved.
Investigations are continuing and police would ask anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or who knows anything about them, to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Mark Tuttle said;
“These are very unusual incidents and we’ve had three similar events happen within 6 days. We are obviously keen to make sure it doesn’t happen again and would appeal to anyone who saw anything, or who knows anything about the vehicle, to get in touch immediately.”
