Since its launch, the ‘Love Blaby Lottery’ has raised an estimated £13,000 for local good causes, including Enderby Village Institute and Enderby Lawn Tennis Club.

Following the start of ticket sales in late January, over 400 have been sold across the 30 district-based organisations. This means the estimated yearly total for all tickets has already hit over £13,000.

In addition to Enderby Village Institute and the Lawn Tennis Club, promotional events in Fosse Park, Pavilion Leisure Centre and the Whetstone Co-op Superstore showcased others already signed up to benefit from the scheme.

More groups are being added and will be available to view on the Love Blaby Lottery website.

Anyone who runs a community group or local sports club could be eligible to register for the lottery. It’s absolutely free and it only takes a few minutes to register your good cause!

Blaby Lottery will provide bespoke leaflets, posters, Facebook links, tips, guides and more.

Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 per week with 60p going directly to good causes.

Other prizes include £2000, £250, £25 and free tickets. The first draw will take place on Saturday 24 February.

Councillor Les Phillimore, Community Champion, said:

“This is a really encouraging start for the lottery.

“All good causes that sign up deliver services in the district, so players know that they are directly helping their local residents and community with every ticket they buy.”

Love Blaby Lottery is open to anyone aged 16 years and over.

Participants are reminded to gamble responsibly.

Visit www.blabylottery.co.uk or call 0116 380 0775 to buy tickets or register a good cause. Full terms and conditions are available on the website.
