Local Beat Team report a “positive note” for February

Posted on March 4, 2019March 4, 2019 by staff

The latest (February) Local Policing Newsletter for Enderby, Narborough, Littlethorpe,  Lubbesthorpe and Fosse Park announced a “positive note for the Lubbesthorpe community”.

The newsletter reported a great result by colleagues from “…our Response Team, Firearms Team and Police Dog Puma”.

The team responded when a vigilant resident called the police after seeing two people trying car doors. After a short foot chase two people were arrested and a car seized. Beat Teams picked up enquiries.

During February, the beat team have been busy, re-uniting people with their property, following  a “crime spree” from the previous month.

The Team have been out and about in the villages patrolling and following up on crime enquires and visits have been made to various schools and school talks have been arranged for March.

A Beat Surgery for The area took place at Enderby Civic centre on the 28th February between 16:00 and 18:00 hrs. Issues raised at the meeting included hanging trees and parking in and around Narborough. Information was passed to assist and hopefully moves things forward. The next Beat Surgery will be held on Thursday March 26th, 2019 between 16:00 and 18:00hrs.

The Team had reports of Anti Social Behaviour in and around Narborough Church Lane and Stainmore Road. These areas have been patrolled and investigations carried out where necessary.

Inevitably there were parking issues and the Team report that they have
been working closely with Blaby District Council who have been in touch with the Leicestershire Fire Brigade to look to run a “test demo” through Enderby Village during March.

The stats…

From the 1st of February 2019 to the 28th of February 2019 the team  received 226 calls for the Narborough, Littlethorpe, Enderby, Lubbesthorpe and Fosse Park beat. A decrease of 12 on the previous month.
