A family fun day will take place at Northfield Park, Blaby, on Sunday June 3 to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The free event will feature live bands, children’s rides from 50p, bouncy castles, arts and crafts, sports, games for all the family and lots more.
Fitness guru Rosemary Conley is opening the event in her official role as the Deputy Lieutenant of Leicestershire followed by music from the Royal British Legion Pipe Band.
A fancy dress competition will also take place with top prizes for the ‘best dressed royal.’
People can pack a picnic or enjoy some of the tasty treats on offer from a variety of food stalls.
Liz Oakes, Blaby town centre manager said:
“I really hope to see lots of families enjoying themselves and celebrating what should be a fantastic occasion for us all to remember.
“There is something for everyone and I’m expecting a real community atmosphere so come along early, get your picnic space and enjoy the day.”
The event is open from 12noon until 5pm.
Blaby District Council has organised the event in partnership with Blaby Parish Council.
