An investigation has been launched by detectives investigating an incident last Wednesday (28th June) when a 29-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious (but not life-threatening) injuries following a collision in Leicester Road, Narborough.
It happened shortly before 1.30pm and involved a pedestrian, a blue Chevrolet Aveo and a white Ford Fiesta which was parked on the side of the road.
The Chevrolet was travelling away from Leicester, while the Fiesta was facing in the opposite direction.
The woman was taken to the University Hospital Coventry.
Police are appealing for witnesses and Detective Constable John Borlase, the investigating officer, said: “This was a bright and sunny afternoon. Anyone either driving or walking along Leicester Road when this collision happened is urged to get in touch.
D.C. Borlase would like to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision taking place, as their information could assist his investigation.
