On Saturday 25th September Enderby Heritage Group showcased newly discovered amateur footage at an afternoon showing in Enderby Parish Church.
The group presented the newly discovered film of Enderby from the 1930s which was taken by Canon Hibbert, vicar of Enderby from 1923 to 1951.
The approximately one hour presentation ran between 1pm and 4pm and was shown on a continuous loop so visitors were able to drop in and out.
The footage, mainly in black and white, was in remarkably good condition and featured both the Rev. Hibbert’s family at play as well as sequences from past fete’s and other celebrations.
For anyone unable to attend the group said that there will be future opportunities to view it.
