Gym and dance sessions for toddlers

Posted on June 10, 2013 by staff

Little ones can start learning dance and gymnastic skills from an early age thanks to a new session at Braunstone Civic Centre.

The Bendy Bods session is for children aged 3-5 years old, and is a dance-gymnastic programme using physical games, stories and imagination to introduce early acro dance skills (rhythmic movements using ribbons, scarves and hoops).

Ellis Stretton, Early Years Physical Activity Officer, said:

“Bendy Bods is a fantastic opportunity for the children of Blaby district to get involved with a new expressive physical activity, which will help confidence, body balance and co-ordination.”

Starting on Tuesday July 9, Bendy Bods will run for ten weeks from 1.30pm – 2.15pm.

The sessions cost £2 each week and families will need to book on beforehand.

To book and to find out more information contact Ellis Stretton on 0116 272 7523 or email ellis.stretton@blaby.gov.uk
