Get Active offers the chance for residents to access physical activity in their local communities for up to twelve weeks completely free of charge.
They simply have to sign up and go to any of the participating community physical activities like Zumba, Boxercise, Netball or Kurling, for a period of up to twelve weeks.
Everyone who signs up will receive a free pedometer upon registration.
Councillor David Clements, portfolio holder for Corporate Services, Performance and Leisure, said:
“This is a great opportunity for those wanting to start the New Year by adding more exercise into their routine. Not only is it free, but offers residents the chance to get to know their local community more.”
Places on the scheme are limited and will be allocated subject to eligibility.
