Businesses in Blaby District are invited to attend a free breakfast meeting in January to share ideas for boosting the local economy and hear about the latest funding opportunities and business news from Blaby District Council and partner organisations.
Blaby District Council is hosting the “Blaby District Means Business” event for local companies on Thursday 22 January at the Hilton Hotel, junction 21 approach, Leicester.
This first event for 2015 is one of a series of networking events the council is running to benefit local firms.
The meeting starts at 8.00am with the promise of a free tasty breakfast on arrival followed by a brief speaker programme with topics on support for local businesses, an update from the newly-merged East Midlands Chamber on their events and activities to help business growth plus an insight into the Leicester and Leicester Enterprise Partnership Business Gateway – the one-stop shop for business support.
Cllr Tony Greenwood, portfolio holder for Planning, Economic Development and Housing Strategy at Blaby District Council, said:
“The Council is running these events for the benefit of our local businesses. I encourage our small to medium sized enterprises to come along, network with other local firms and discover the host of support available to help their business flourish.”
