Four fun-packed days of Jubilee celebration

Enderby and District Social Club are holding a ‘Jubilee and Beer Festival Extravaganza’ over four days from the 2nd to 5th June.

The event is billed as 4 days of fun and activities including a BBQ, Bouncy Castle, Disco, Gamesand much more. The ‘Real Ale Festival’ begins at noon on Saturday June 2nd and there are eight diffferent real ales to try!

From 7pm on Saturday 2nd the ever popular ‘Family Entertainment Night’ takes off with the club’s Disco/Karaoke duo, Dean and Lee, while the Real Ale Festival continues in the back room (with over 18’s only!). Throughout the day and evening, a selection of hot and cold food will be available from the club’s caterer.

Sunday June 3rd sees a variety of activities taking place. It all ‘kicks off’ from 10am with the Jubilee Cup football match. Spectators are welcome as the party takes to the park, watch the match and enjoy drinks and breakfasts to eat in or take out. Hot and cold food/bbq is available throughout the day …as is the bouncy castle and all-day games.

At 2pm there’s a darts competition, best of 5, 301 to semi-finals. Then best of 7, 501 for the semi and final. There’s a £2 entry fee and a guaranteed prize fund of £50.

3pm sees a penalty shoot-out at the club for under 10’s, 10yrs-16yrs and those over 16yrs.

4pm and two competitions take place – Entry fee for either of the competitions is just £2.

1) Pool Competition, Knockout Competition. Guaranteed prize fund of £50.
2) Skittles Competition with a guaranteed prize fund of £50.

Monday June 4th from 12 noon onwards the Real Ale Festival continues with an ‘old-fashioned’ twist! Cream Teas, Cake and home made produce is available. Free stalls are available for handicrafts, etc. At 2pm it’s the club’s first ever Great Pram Race with no entry fee – just a good time for all. The pram race is open to teams of four or less. At 7.30pm live entertainment in the form of top northern duo ‘Capone’ and a tribute to Robbie Williams. Tickets are priced at £3.00 per person and are currently available from the club or they can be purchased on the night.

Tuesday June 5th, and the final day of the event begins at 12 noon. Celebrations include an outdoor disco, BBQ and Bouncy Castle. On this day visitors are invited to bring a picnic and join in the fun!

The club welcomes new and old members and invites them to come and see what’s on offer within the club. There are rooms to hire for parties, meetings, weddings etc., and a full and varied programme of events including family nights and quizzes. Any of the teams would welcome new players. The club shows all live Sky and ESPN fixtures and there’s free Wi-Fi for customers.
